About Anne-Marie Chmielewski

Anne-Marie Chmielewski, She/Her
Nature-Based Chaplain, CPE Intern

I bring a deep commitment to relational, earth-honoring spiritual care through my work as a nature-based chaplain. My approach is rooted in the understanding that each person’s relationship with the natural world is sacred, unique and a source of profound insight, healing, and transformation.

I offer nature-based chaplaincy as a practice of deep listening and co-creation with the more-than-human world. I support individuals in exploring their connection to nature as a source of meaning, resilience, and belonging. My work at SNTI includes holding space for rites of passage, community offerings and working one-on-one to support spiritual exploration in relationship with land, weather, seasons, plants, and animals in both wild and domesticated spaces.

I hold two master's degrees—one in Women’s Spirituality and another in Consciousness, Healing, and Ecology. My approach to pastoral care integrates feminist, earth-based, and somatic traditions, with a focus on offering spiritual inquiry/support that is embodied, inclusive, and rooted in ecological awareness.

Boulder CO has been home for almost 2 decades, but I grew up in Montana, where my family raised sheep and I fell in love with the textures and rhythms of land-based living. My lifelong love of wool and traditional textile arts is woven through with memory, place, and the quiet wisdom of interdependence. In my free time, I spin wool and use stitching as a meditation. These practices continue to shape how I listen, how I hold space, and how I understand belonging.
